Melissa A. Hart, as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsored legislation that officially changes the name of the Parkway West and portions of Route 60 to Interstate 376.

These efforts will help grow the region's economy. Companies wanting to invest or relocate to an area often want to be located along an interstate highway so they have adequate access to the transportation network. Since Route 60 and the Parkway West were not Interstates, Pittsburgh was being overlooked. Improvements were made to the highway thanks to cooperation of our State Transportation Secretary, Alan Biehler and his hard work with the Federal Highway Administration.
